With pay-as-you-go, you can choose to pay in advance for usage with credits. Credits can be purchased on the dashboard, or via invoice by emailing us ($500 minimum).
Credits allow you to lock in a volume discount, simplify your expense reporting, and introduce more predictability into your geocoding bills. Only customers who buy credits upfront are eligible for a volume discount.
Credits never expire and they rollover month-to-month. However, they are not refundable.
If you have any usage to date for the month when you purchase credits, the credits will be immediately applied to your running balance.
You can decide what happens when your credits run out. If you require credits to be available for regular usage, you can set credits to auto-refill when they hit a certain minimum threshold. This will trigger your account to automatically purchase new credits when that condition is met. Both the threshold and the amount of new credits to be added are completely customizable. For example, you could choose to purchase 20,000 credits when you account drops below 5,000 available credits.
Auto-refill is set to "Off" by default, but can be turned on at any point. You can also cancel auto-refill at any time if it is no longer necessary for your project.
Limit your account usage by purchasing credits upfront, then setting a Usage Limit to: "Limit until I run out of credits". When your pre-purchased credits run out, you will not be able to use the API or process spreadsheets beyond the free tier.
You can also switch to the regular pay-as-you-go billing after your credits run out by removing any existing Usage Limits you have set. This is the default setting for Usage Limits.
